RK-Spectro Technical Note 11: Single wavelength kinetics experiment using MOS 450_AF or AF-CD in absorbance mode

Latest updated: February 16, 2021

Introduction

This Technical Note demonstrates how to perform a single wavelength kinetics using MOS450, a stopped-flow module and Bio-Kine32 software. The A/D board is correctly installed and Bio-kine32 correctly configured. The reduction of 2,6-dichlorophenolindophenol by L ascorbic acid is presented in this Technical Note, the kinetics is followed by absorbance at 524 nm. If the concentration of DCIP is sufficiently smaller than Ascorbic acid then the reaction could be treated as a pseudo first-order reaction.
