RK-Spectro Technical Note 87: μSFM – Absorbance kinetics using a 200μl stock solution and MOS-200

Introduction

MOS-200 is used as a detection system for the absorbance measurement. Reduction of 2,6- dichlorophenolindophenol (DCIP) by L-ascorbic acid is presented in this application note, the kinetics is followed by absorbance at 524 nm. If the concentration of DCIP is sufficiently smaller than Ascorbic acid then the reaction could be treated as a pseudo first-order reaction.
